I've been trying to make a nice daily compilation from the news I watch, and other happenings in the media recently (should've done this during my critical thinking class)

6 hour Energy Porno Style!
Yeah, this is kind of old news. But I'm just starting :) So I was watching comedy central (I know, it's not a very funny place but I got to admit Demetri Martin is great and some other comedians that dont have to use "fuck" or sex to be funny) and this popped up. I was floored when I saw this. I'm still getting over the shock that girl's gone wild was able to show porno ads at like 1 am (after watchin re runs of colbert and stewart) but this was in the middle of the day! What about putting an ad about a guy getting down on a girl? Oh noo, that wouldn't get costumers. Cheap exploits like this just make it easier for me :)
I'm not sure if I should drink the energy drink before, or after I blow my boss....

About Us
V for is for Victory is a unique interactive community that focuses on youth issues, particular those that are neglected in today's young society such as feminism (and male issues/discrimination) and civil rights that is still needed today. I want to unite young activists of all movements and groups as well as educating non-activists a range of opinions and ideas from this casual blog. This site encourages those to question the "norm", critical thinking, and a way to connect other young adults about issues that we would most not likely be able to discuss freely without condemning each other. From talking about a movie or song to a personal experience, this is a welcoming, supportive, free thinking, progressive environment. We do not tolerate extremists, religious zealots, sexists, racists, or narrow-minded douche bags. Save it for the other websites.
So what's with the name? Well, it's a take on many things. I got the idea from the whole 'v for victory' sign. (that includes the asian stereotype that they pose in pictures with, the vag sign, the title of V for Vendetta (my favorite movie), etc.) It's to turn around the demeaning meanings around it to a positive, revolutionary idea that yes, we need awareness and activism more then ever. V for Victory! (I dunno, this website is in it's early stages so bare with me :D )
The purpose is to open your mind to new, and old viewpoints, and to hopefully change this cruel world one post at a time. I want people to come out of this website no longer ignorant, judgmental, or childish but a well rounded, critical thinking young adult who wants to change something in this society. This place is created for you to have you're own voice, so comment or become an author yourself! Anonymous is something that isn't necessary here, be yourself and be proud.

- Hi, I'm Christina. I'm a young feminist/minorities/social right's activist just looking for a way to channel my frustrations about this absurd world we all have to share and allow others to do as well. I'm tired of seeing all these pretentious websites that don't allow people have a real say. I'm a devout Omnitheist, probably one of the last of my kind. I'm a college student still finding myself.
